Glenn Dirks (of Better Workplace, formerly Teletrips) and I have this question: Why aren't more companies using new ways of working (newwow)now? Truce, our last benchmark study showed that 80% of the over 100 surveyed organizations started an alternative workplace (AW) program within the last five years, meaning that AW programs are becoming meainstream practice for these companies. But this sample is skewed toward companies who are already employing AW or are interested in doing so. The vast majority of companies still have not embraced this approach. We know also from our benchmark and other studies, that the main barriers are leadership and management resistance and cultural resistance. The question is why?
