Two new generation/ workplace studies

Recently released: two new studies focusing on generations and the workplace. One by the Center for Work-Life Policy (CWLP); the other from the London Business School’s Centre for Women in Business.

Bookend Generations: Leveraging Talent and Finding Common Ground
An article in The Financial Times about the Bookend Generation report indicated that the study is based on two large national surveys of US college-educated professionals, focus groups and surveys at two companies. Researchers at the CWLP identified many similarities between two dominant demographic cohorts—Gen Y (20-somethings) and Baby Boomers (50-somethings):

  • Have a zest for learning: 90% of Gen Ys and 85% of boomers seek new experiences at work.
