Kate Lister wrote us to share information about a new telework advocacy program in Southern California that is currently recruiting candidates for a telework pilot.

Here's the scoop:

$20k of Free Telework Consulting Available to SoCal Organizations

A new telework advocacy program in Southern California is currently recruiting candidates in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernadino, and Riverside counties.

The program is 100% funded by the Mobile Source Air Pollution Review Committee (MSRC). If selected, participating organizations will receive free consulting valued at over $20,000. They will provide everything from start to finish including:

1. Worksite assessment

2. Design and implementation of a customized program

3. Development of policies, procedures and agreementsTechnology advice

4. Management and employee training

5. Program evaluation

The program is open to for-profit, not-for-profit, and public sector organizations that do not already have a formalized telework program.

If your organization is sitting the fence on telecommuting, now it the time to make your move. Only 15 employers will be chosen—3 to 5 per county.
