Symposim IV: Work Practices and Processes for New Ways of Working

NewWOW’s fourth Symposim was held February 3 through 6, 2008. The theme was “Work Practices and Processes for New Ways of Working.” Eric Richert, formerly Vice President of iWork at Sun Microsystems and now at 8 Corners Consulting, delivered the keynote based on a draft document he wrote describing the work practices that are preconditions for distributed work. The symposium included many participatory activities designed to discuss the proposed list of work practices. It was held at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. Thirty-three members and colleagues attended.
