Sponsorship opportunities are now available for ECO2 Workplace --a tool for assessing the sustainability of organizations’ ways of working. This tool will be available for use by the members of the New Ways of Network and their clients by the end of 2008. Sponsors will have exposure on the tool with their logos and one page descriptions, in press releases and marketing material and on the New WOW website. Sponsorships are available for $25,000 per year. Other sponsorships are also available.
As companies rethink their design, supply chain and product life-cycles to minimize their environmental impact, they also have to rethink how their employees work as a significant contributor to green house gas emissions. Up until now, there hasn’t been a convenient way to assess organizational ways of working. But with ECO2 Workplace, organizations can comprehensively assess the sustainability of ways of working-- encompassing where groups are located, the energy efficiencies of the buildings they work in, their commute patterns, meeting and business travel, including especially air travel, and their use of technology.
Background
This tool originated with the members of the New Ways of Working Network, was funded and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle and developed by iDEA and VTT, a major Finnish research organization with deep expertise in sustainability modeling. Your sponsorship contributions will go towards legal research to secure the brand name, marketing outreach, user-friendly enhancements, and web hosting and maintenance.
Marketing
The target audiences for the ECO2 Workplace are higher level corporate managers who are responsible for the sustainable impacts of group locations, workplace locations and characteristics, office technologies, meeting and air travel patterns. These may be group business managers, sustainability/environmental managers, real estate/facilities/HR/IT/Shared Services mangers. The next steps for reaching out to these audiences are:
- Educating key stakeholders among core team and New WOW members and scheduling information workshops.
- Promoting and educating external target audiences by identifying early adopters, preparing and providing communication materials, cross selling through white papers, podcasts, emails, and proactive reaching out to clients.
- Creating awareness among the business community by identifying marketing channels, preparing a public relations program.
