Jim Creighton and Joe Ouye co-founded New Ways of Working in 2006.

Jim Creighton, Ph.D.
New Ways of Working Network and Creighton & Creighton, Inc.

Dr. Creighton is a co-founder in the New Ways of Working Network, and is President of Creighton & Creighton, Inc., a consulting firm. Creighton holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the International Institute for Advanced Study. He is the author of six books, including CyberMeeting: How to Link People and Technology in Your Organization. Creighton has more than 35 years experience as an independent consultant with a focus on participatory processes, dispute resolution, team effectiveness, and partnering in multi-organizational teams. His client list includes more than 100 corporate clients and governmental agencies He is the author of more than 100 professional publications, including numerous guides and manuals for government organizations. Creighton has designed or facilitated literally hundreds of meetings. He is the lead author of two guides on the use of “partnering” for management of multi-organization projects, and several guides on stakeholder involvement in decision making. He is also the author of three texts on public participation in governmental and utility decisionmaking, and was the founding President of the International Association for Public Participation.

Joe Ouye, Ph.D.
New Ways of Working Network and Research for Design

Dr. Ouye is a co-founder of the New Ways of Working Network--an interactive network of organizational innovators--people who are transforming their work environment. The members are an intriguing mix of experts from workspace design, technology and organizational planning and design. His consulting firm, Research for Design, focuses on improving organizational performance as the basis of design. He has consulted with major corporations and organizations to rethink how their workplace and real estate can enable more productive, engaged and sustainable ways of working. Ouye also founded the Workplace Productivity Consortium, a consortium of corporations focused on benchmarking and researching workplace productivity. His prior experience includes the founding and leadership of Facility Technics, a consulting firm known for applying logical planning methods to corporate workplace and real estate problems, Vice President of the Consulting Group at SpAce, LPP, and Principal and Co-leader of the Consulting Group at Gensler. His interest in research stems from his Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and research work at the Institute fur die Grundlagen der Plannung (Institute for the Foundations of Planning) at the Universitat Suttgart.
