Last week, a new UK political party, named the oneDrum party, proposed legislation to allow office workers to work from home at least one day a month. The proposal was launched to coincide with national Work From Home Day, which took place May 15. Party founder and software entrepreneur Jasper Westaway, posted an e-petition on the No 10 Downing Street website, the official site of the Prime Minister’s office. (http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/WorkAtHomeDay/) .

The petition urges the Prime Minister to enact legislation that allows all office workers to work from home at least one day every month.
