Reporter Beth Goodbaum cites statistics from the 2011 New WOW Benchmarking Survey indicating that 74 percent of the survey respondents said they have a formal or informal alternative workplace program in place. The piece concludes with several suggestions for restructuring workplaces and work practices from Ouye concluding with the statement, "The best way to help them [employees] perform to their highest level is to give them choices."
